Widely known as a “striking and resourceful” composer (The New York Times), the extraordinary Hannah Lash joins the Ariel Artists roster.

As a composer, Hannah Lash is published exclusively worldwide by Schott Helicon Music, with selected works from her catalog available for download from PSNY.

And now, as a brilliantly accomplished harpist and performing artist, Hannah Lash is represented by Ariel Artists!

Performing her own music, and the music of other composers, Hannah Lash has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Cabrillo Festival, Miller Theatre, the Alabama Symphony, the Yale School of Music, and the Bennington Chamber Music Conference, among others.

Just last month, Lash premiered her first harp concerto at Carnegie Hall with the American Composers Orchestra under the direction of George Manahan as part of the SONiC Festival:

“The standout piece of the evening was the premiere of Hannah Lash’s Concerto for Harp and Chamber Orchestra…The harp writing was particularly stunning, with beautiful melodies and moving cadenzas permeating the piece…After the final note resonated through the hall, Lash received three curtain calls (and it was only intermission!).”

Lash’s upcoming performances include her own Miller Theatre Composer Portrait, where she collaborates with the JACK Quartet; a chamber concert at Yale University (part of the Faculty Concert Series; Lash is full-time member of the Yale University Composition Faculty); the New York premiere of her work Leaves, Space as part of the 2016 NY PHIL BIENNIAL; and more.

Equally impressive was Lash’s virtuosity on her instrument, not only for her technical wizardry of pedal shifts and arpeggios, but for her mood shifts.
