Described by Sergio Assad as “the most inventive and exciting young guitar ensemble today,” Mobius Trio is an ensemble of three guitars entirely dedicated to the creation and performance of a new lexicon of music for both classical and electric guitars.

This November, Mobius heads to the East Coast for an action-packed tour, including featured and collaborative concerts, master classes and educational outreach, regional premieres, and more.

Tour repertoire includes Samuel Carl Adams’s Study for MobiusBon Voyage by Adrian Knight, the East Coast premiere of Joseph Colombo’s Initial Darkness, and more.  (Listen to these works and more.)

Tour dates include a collaborative evening with Ben Seretan at Brooklyn’s ShapeShifter Lab; a program for Selective Truths, where they’ll split the bill with Marateck, a band from composer (and frequent Mobius collaborator) Brendon Randall-Myers; solo concerts for the New England Guitar Society and SpectrumNYC.

Mobius also offers educational outreach at the Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA, the New England Guitar Society, and the Milford Center for the Arts. (Learn more about Mobius educational programs here.)

When the Trio returns to California, they offer a hometown concert — with their “San Francisco” program — at Noe Valley Chamber Music.

Mobius will be documenting their tour on their Facebook page; stay tuned and don’t miss out on their musical antics!
